Re: Supervisor of the Year Nomination
Dear: Awards Committee
While considering eligible candidates for this award, I thought of a supervisor that is new to the world of front line supervision. When he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, he was thrown into the busiest shift of department as the only supervisor. While trying to balance supervisory responsibilities and call coverage of this sometimes hectic shift, he learned very quickly how to organize his time. Not only did he have the responsibilities of the only supervisor on Watch 2, he organized a complete Reserve Police Officer Academy, and assisted in SWAT training as Assistant Commander for the team.
As President of FOP Lodge #145, I hereby nominate Sgt. Thomas Green for the award of “Supervisor of the Year”.
